Patterns Cal's POV

I was looking for Sam when I thought I saw someone in the trees but I didn’t pay any attention to it. I kept going then I felt something hit the back of my neck and I fell. Next thing I know I’m tied to a tree and my mouth is taped shut. After about five minutes I see Sam and I hear her she is going to get herself killed trying to save me. I should have gone back in once I saw that person but I didn’t, this is my entire fault.
She came and someone shot at her but she dodged it easily she worked her way back to me and then I heard another shot and she went down but I felt her grab one of the daggers so I know she didn’t get hit. When the guy came up to her she jumped up so quickly it shocked even me. She turned and cut the rope and yelled run. I did exactly what she told me to do. I didn’t know that she wasn’t following. By the time that I got back I finally noticed that she wasn’t with me.
I immediately went to go back but I hear a car pulling onto a gravel road and know that her dad already has her. I don’t understand she wasn’t hit she shouldn’t have fell. Then I know why she passed out, because of the memories and after being knocked out for so long.

Sam’s POV

It felt like I was in a large vehicle when I came to. I couldn’t see and I couldn’t really hear anything. I think I hear voices but I can’t focus on them. All of a sudden I feel a large volt of electricity run through me.
“Now that you're awake we can start testing, Sammy.”
I try to talk but find that I have tape across my mouth. They have me tied in a  tight roll and the rope is cutting into my skin.
I can only imagine where they’re taking me but I don’t really think I want to know. Then another shock and it hurt more than the other one. With the shock comes a flash of light so I can see shadowy figures standing.
I try to move and they shock me again.
“Tsk tsk tsk, Sammy, if you stop fighting the shocking will stop too.
“Nmvr.”
“Ok then I guess by the time we get back you will be fried then.”
“Fmn.”
Another shock courses through me. I know now that he doesn’t need me anymore and he’s just going to kill me. I try to get in a comfortable position and the slightest movement makes him shock me again. I feel the thing stop and I guess we either arrived at our destination or we’re in a town. Then we start moving again. I decide that if I'm going to save myself I have to deal with some pain.
I use all the strength I can muster and roll to try and hit the side as hard as possible. When I start rolling he shocks me and doesn’t stop until I stop moving . I can tell I made an indent so I try to roll away from the side and into the middle. He shocks me the entire time then too.
Once I’m in the middle I roll to the side again and I feel that the metal is going to give. I decide that I will do it once more and if it doesn’t break then I will just stay there. I roll to the middle and my last roll I hit the indent. The entire time he is shocking me. At first I thought it wasn’t going to break then all of a sudden I’m falling through the air. I try to break the rope and it takes a little bit but I finally do. Before I can do anything else I feel the hard ground and know immediately that I broke a bunch of my bones including my ankles again. I scream out loud but it sounds muffled. I try to get my strength back and I take the blind fold off and I start running. I have absolutely no idea where I am but as soon as I find the city we were in I can find a map. I start running for what looks like civilization. It looks farther than it actually was. I searched for a shop that could possibly have a map. I found one and looked for my town. All the shops had the town name on them so it wasn’t so hard to figure out where I was.
I see that my town is about 50 miles away. I can’t run that far and Dad is obviously looking for me on the road. I decide that I will walk the 50 miles back. I probably walked 20 miles by the time it got dark out. I didn’t dare stop so I continue through the night. I was probably about five miles out of town when I heard a gunshot. I thought one of Dad’s goons had found me so I start running again.
After about 20 minutes I’m almost to Cal’s forest. I’m so close when I hear something wiz by my ear. They are out to kill so I make myself run as fast as I possibly can. I get to Cal’s house and open the door. I shut and lock it and run straight for the bunker. I give the password and after two minutes someone answered it. I just ran in shut it and lock it back up right away.
